The dataset consists of an base- and endline surveys with school students who act as students brigades at the school. In the baseline survey we wanted to know the students knowledge attitude and practice on health, sanitation and hygiene issues. At the enplane, after the intervention is given, the similar set of data are collected from the students.
Following marginality approach developed at ZEF, Bonn we identified five marginal sub-districts in Bangladesh i.e. under performing areas since in such areas yield gaps (potential minus actual yields) are high and productivity gains (of main staple crops) are likely to be achieved. We conducted quantitative sample survey for about 357 Smallholders (SHs) which has been drawn following systematic sampling from a census of about 5,855 households of 15 villages in those 5 sub-districts. The dataset also includes 25 model farm households for the comparison. The dataset provides comprehensive information on different aspects of smallholders farm households: household socioeconomic demographics, income and expenditure, assets, farm production cost and return, details on agricultural technology adoption, agricultural extension services/support, etc. Using the datset we already published a working paper and a book chapter published by Springer and a couple of scientific papers are now in progress.
